ThriveLife, LLC, also known as Thrive, is a Houston-based firm founded in 2024 by CEO Denise N. Upshaw. Growing up, Denise developed a strong work ethic by watching her single mother, Marie, juggle long hours at work, parenting, travel, and home life, all while making time for self-care. She was the epitome of an independent woman. But as Denise’s own career took off, she quickly discovered how difficult it was to manage life’s demands alone. The constant pressure to succeed led to burnout and sparked a personal wellness journey that reshaped her understanding of what it means to truly thrive, and how to achieve it.​ Denise concluded that her mother’s remarkable balance was made possible, in part, by her personal assistant: Denise herself. From around age 10, Marie delegated to Denise many personal and business-related tasks, including administrative duties, fashion styling, and housekeeping. Not only did Denise develop a strong work ethic by learning to perform responsibilities with timeliness and attention to detail, she also helped her mother regain time to engage in wellness activities. Essentially, living by the principle: if everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot. Reflecting on that season of life, Denise came to understand that thriving isn’t about self-reliance—it’s about releasing the energy-draining tasks to make space for the ones that restore you. She believes that support is essential to living a thrive-life, and that with the right assistance, anyone can reclaim their time, reduce stress, and gain the balance needed to achieve a healthy lifestyle.  That belief laid the foundation for  ThriveLife, LLC. Thrive's core values are rooted in one of Denise’s favorite quotes by Maya Angelou: “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” Guided by this mindset and her 15 years in executive administrative positions, Denise launched ThriveLife to offer high-quality business and lifestyle solutions that enhance productivity, competitive edge, and a thriving lifestyle.
